Frequently Asked Questions * What kind of things do we do in PE? Tag games, the Indiana Jones Course, Field Day, scooters, roller racers, circuit training, basketball, space invaders, noodle games, soccer, adventure climbing, cooperative games, fitness testing, fun day, wellness day, volleyball, Quidditch, throwing & catching skills, big box hockey, battleship, parachute, exercises, badminton, cargo net, low climbing wall and much, much, more. * What if I am sick or have an injury? Sometimes in class you may not feel very well, just let Mr C know about it and he will have you either sit down to rest or send you to the nurse. If you can not take class, please bring in a note from your parents or guardian. A doctors note is best if you have to sit out for a number of classes. Remember to report all injury's to Mr C as soon as they happen. * How am I graded in PE? Students have three marking periods. The first marking period students are graded on the fitness test: Running, sit & reach, push ups and curl ups. The other two periods students are graded on participation, skills level on the activities given, effort, attitude, and sportsmanship. * How do I do well in PE? To be successful in physical education class I will need to do the following: Respect self, classmates and teachers, respect all equipment. Be responsible for your actions, "SAFETY RULES", and always follow instructions. Cooperate with classmates and teachers, try your best, help others, stay on task, HAVE FUN, and leave with a smile. * What special activities do we do in PE? Our school does Hoops for Heart and Jump Rope for Heart, we have Fun Day, fitness testing, Wellness Day and Adventure Climbing Cluster. * What is expected from me in PE? HAVE FUN Follow "SAFETY RULES" Stay on task Take our heart rate Try and learn new skills Be positive Wear proper attire each class. (Sneakers, appropriate clothes and no jewelry) Help others Circle down Keep off the mats and the bleachers. Stay off the climbing wall Ask permission to leave the gym. Know all fire exits and procedures Remember our Lock Down Procedures. Follow Instructions Echo Commands When entering the gym, do not touch the equipment.
